Boaco
Boaco is located in the central region of Nicaragua. This it is a young department, since his foundation data of pricipios of century 20, when one became independent with the Sherry name, being made official in 1936 like Boaco.
The city of Boaco funge like departmental head. Well-known popularly like the City of two Floors, it was founded on 1763, although there are some that they affirm that its foundation was still before, in 1749. Elevated to the rank of city the 4 of March of 1895, the city enjoys of a flourishing commerce and a cosy population.
Boaco must its name to an Extreme tribe called Boaj, and it is presumed that its name is derived from the word combined between extreme and nhualt that "place of the Boaj" means.
The main economic activity of the zone is the cattle ranch, which great part of the wealth of this department is come off.
